The Fast Food Epidemic

Living in the United States we are surrounded by food everywhere we go.  At school, at work, driving down the street, on TV, in stores, food is everywhere. Food isn’t the problem; it’s what we do to the food that becomes a problem (Fast Food Restaurants).  The reason, why in the past couple of years there has been a growing problem, is due to convenience.  More people are consuming fast food because it is easier and cheaper than a home cooked meal. By eating this fake food, processed food more often it has caused many serious health problems, like obesity. If you become obesise you can run into many serious problems down the road, meaning it can also lead into all different health issue or diseases. This then has an effect on how much money is being added into our health care system. These are just a couple of reasons why you should not eat fast food.

  1. Hey Ashley!

I love your blog, you clearly put a lot of thought and effort into organizing it! And you provided us with so much information it really taught me a lot. I completely agree with this post, I just wrote a paper on childhood obesity and fast food is really a problem for the typical American. People need to realize that there are other healthy substittues for their fast food meals. Thanks so much for sharing such a great blog with us, it really helps to reinforce what we are seeing in our country!
